PulciPerla is the explosive meeting of the incendiary singer-percussionists of Bogotá’s La Perla and the irresistibly polymorphic groove of Toulouse-based collective Pulcinella.
Since 2019, PulciPerla has been setting stages across France and Colombia alight with a magnetic, infectious energy. Their debut album, Tatekieto, was released in February 2025 on Prado Records. Today, the band embarks on a new creative chapter: VORTEX.
Driven by movement in all its forms, PulciPerla dives into the spiralling forces that shape both life and the cosmos. VORTEX celebrates the swirling patterns of energy found everywhere, from the structure of our DNA to the movements of galaxies. Repetition, cycles, variation, acceleration, rhythmic spirals and ecstatic crescendos draw the audience into an ever-evolving flow.
On stage, the vortex becomes pure sound. Mutant funk ignites against tribal rhythms; wild cumbia twists into futuristic electronics; voices summon, percussion drives, horns swirl, all infused with the blazing intensity of psychedelic rock. Vocals, gaita flute, saxophone, keyboards, double bass, transverse flute and percussion intertwine to create a powerful sonic spiral, an immersive live experience where groove, trance and raw energy collide.
